    Today, we’re going to write about the necessary documents you need to bring along for your rental contract in Japan.

    Usually, documents below are necessary for foreigners to rent a house in Japan.

    • Passport
    • Residence Card (住民票 – Juminhyo)
    • Letter of Employment with Salary Information (在籍証明書 – Zaisekishomeisho)
    • Japanese Tax Documents, if applicable (源泉徴収表 – Gensenchoshuhyo), including your income certificate
    • Affidavit of financial support (from your guarantor)
    • Guarantor Certificate(証明書)including their signature stamp(印鑑)
