Hello!
Hope all of you are being safe and enjoying the TSUYU rainy season- so rainy all day.
 
I’ve tried a new Thai-food restaurant in Gakugei daigaku the other day!

 
 
I’ve tried the カオソーイ, which was like a noodle in curry-tasted soup,
and it was SOOO good!
 
This is the restaurant I went:
(All of the menu was available for Take away, which was an additional good point.)

Have you ever heard of the word TSUYU?
It’s the rainy season which arrives in early Summer in Japan.
There is no specific date for the beginning of TSUYU,
but it is said that in Tokyo area it starts from early June.
 

It is said that the average temperature goes up to 26degrees- so it is quite humid and sweaty season.
Not easy to walk, laundry issues, transportation issues… there are many concerns about the rain,
but at the same time, it is the best season to enjoy the ajisai-紫陽花 flowers.
 

Have you ever seen it before?
See the pathways, see the parks, you can see the beautiful ajisai’s coming up- enjoy the bloom!

If you are living, or thinking about moving in to Tatami house,
you might be wondering how you should treat it.
 
Actually, it is quite easy.

Don’t miss a chance to enjoy Tatami if you are here in Japan 🙂

 
Here are some of the hints to use the tatami mat in your house.
 
1. Try not put a carpet on it all the time, to keep it dry.
 
2. When you use a vacuum, do it softly and follow the direction of tatami.
 
3. When you want to wipe it for cleaning, use a dry towel. Only a bit wet towel is fine but not too much.
 
4. On a sunny day, keep the windows open to make the room dry.
 
 
 
Overall, the most important point is to keep it dry, because the humidity is what a mold and a tick loves.
