Today is ‘Mother’s day’ in Japan.
It’s a date to how your respect and gratitude of your mother’s daily hard work.

‘Mother’s day’- which is becoming one of the world-common celebration day- came to Japan in the 1910’s, and became common in Japan in the 1950’s.

In 1947, the ‘Mother’s day’ was officially decided to be on the second Sunday of May in Japan.

We usually send gift to our mother- the most popular one is a red carnation.

But did you know that there are many more colors of carnation?
And they each has a meaning…
    For example:
    -Red: Love, love of mother
    -Pink: Gratitude, thankful, warmth
    -Purple: Elegance
    -Blue: Eternity happiness, graceful

Hope this will help you in some way 🙂

Lastly, I’ll introduce my favorite word-
    **************************************************
It takes someone really brave to be a mother,
someone strong to raise a child
and someone special to love someone more than herself
    **************************************************

    Have a lovely Mother’s day.
